Southeast men's basketball season officially over

The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball team will not compete in a postseason tournament and "will turn its focus toward next season," according to Southeast sports information director Jeff Honza.

He said that Southeast had not received an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational as of Friday, and would not be waiting on a decision with spring break starting.

I would think the CBI would not send out invitations until after the NCAA field and NIT field is announced, since it is a 3rd tier tournament. With that being said, with 100 teams going to the NCAA and NIT, and SEMO's rpi sitting at #251, I doubt there was a realistic chance in the first place. Let's hope for continued improvement in the program.
