Southeast baseball predicted to finish sixth in OVC

The Southeast Missouri State baseball team was picked to finish sixth out of 11 teams in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll.

The poll was released today and was voted on by OVC head baseball coaches and sports information directors.

Defending regular season OVC champion Tennessee Tech was picked to finish first with 199 points and 19 first place votes. Defending OVC tournament champion Austin Peay was picked second (164 points, 2 first place votes) followed by Belmont (158), Jacksonville State (154) and Eastern Kentucky (139, one first place vote).

Southeast's 104 points put them in sixth followed by Eastern Illinois (96), SIU Edwardsville (67), Morehead State (58), Murray State (51) and UT Martin (20).

No Southeast players were selected to the preseason all-OVC team.

How can Jason Blum be a pre-season all-american and not a pre-season all OVC?
