Bearcat tennis drops heartbreaker to Cape Central 5-4

The Dexter Bearcat tennis team lost a nail-biter 5-4 to the Cape Central Tigers at home Wednesday afternoon.

Dexter picked up doubles wins by Peyton Boles/Cooper Worley who defeated Jacob Ford/Elijah Peters 9-7 and Logan Jones/Rhyder Williams who defeated Gabriel Shelton/Mohamad Roumany 8-3.

The Bearcats picked singles wins from Cooper Worley defeat who defeated Zach Borowaik 8-2 and Rhyder Williams who defeated Mohamad Roumany 8-4.

The Tigers picked up a double win from Zachary James Borowiak/Eann Ray Garner who defeated Lawson Blocker/Drew Chamberlain 8-5. In single action the Tigers recorded four wins as Jacob Dean Ford defeated Peyton Boles 8-3, Elijah Peters defeated Lawson Blocker 8-1, Eann Ray Gardner defeated Drew Chamberlain 8-1 and Gabriel John Shelton defeated Logan Jones 8-6.

Both team will be in action today at the SEMO Conference Tournament at Notre Dame.
