STATESMAN ROUNDUP: Balanced Bloomfield boys basketball routs Holcomb 101-63

The Bloomfield Wildcats scored enough points in the middle two quarters Monday night to beat Holcomb and earned consecutive wins for the first time this season.

The Wildcats outscored Holcomb 67-29 in the second and third quarters en route to a 101-63 victory.

Parker Heaton scored a game-high and season-high 25 points to lead the Wildcats, who improved to 4-10. Travis McCullough added 24, breaking the 20-point barrier for the fourth time this season.

Malik Williams (13) and Michael Phillips (10) joined Heaton and McCullough in double figures. Twelve different Bloomfield players scored at least one point.

Greg Kendrick paced Holcomb (2-11) with 15 points, Logan Williamson had 12 and Ben Maynard had 11.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Charleston 69, Advance 42

The Charleston Blue Jays took control from the start and rolled to a 69-42 victory over Advance on Monday night at Advance High School.

The Blue Jays jumped head 22-5 after the first quarter and led 36-16 after two and 44-33 after three.

Alandry Below paced Advance with 21 points, and Danielle Markham had 14.
