Kennett volleyball teams net Holcomb, Kennett M.S. football team downs Dexter

HOLCOMB, Mo. - The Kennett volleyball program rebounded from a pair of road losses Wednesday night at Cape Central with a pair of road wins Thursday night at Holcomb.

The Kennett varsity volleyball team beat Holcomb 22-25, 25-10, 25-16. Kennett won the junior varsity contest against Holcomb 25-18, 26-24.

Cape Central beat Kennett in varsity volleyball action 25-21, 25-14 Wednesday night. Cape Central also won the junior varsity volleyball game against Kennett 25-17, 10-25, 25-17.

Kennett is back in action Oct. 3 when it hosts Sikeston.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Kennett 36, Dexter 12

DEXTER, Mo. - The Kennett middle school football program jumped out a 16-0 advantage on its way to a 36-12 win at Dexter Thursday night.

The seventh graders and eighth graders both competed in the same game together.

Kennett hosts Caruthersville in middle school football Monday at 5 p.m.
