The MBCA/MOsports Basketball poll is selected by a panel of coaches representing each of the 8 districts and each of the five Missouri basketball classes. Games included through Sunday, January 29.

  Doniphan #4?????? If they had cvilles schedule, they would had lost more than 1 game.. cville has had a brutal schedule in January and its not getting any easier. Id put Kennett ahead of them imo. They did beat cville earlier in the year and won the Bloomfield Tourney.

• Not sure why they don't have the w/l records right. Doniphan has lost 2 games; lost to Portageville in the Bloomfield Tournament and a loss to Poplar Bluff. They are a squad to reckon with, though. A couple of 6'7" guys and a tough as nails 6'3" guy.

  I'm not trying to discredit Doniphan by any means. I just think Caruthersville and a few others ranked below them are better than they are. I guess this makes for good discussion though. Only poll that really matters at the end of the day is the final!

• The really sad part of them not getting the records right is that it seems Portageville has been punished for it. They have them losing 3 games when they've only lost two. Maxpreps has the same error incorrectly recording them losing to South Pem on 1/13. Looks like this mistake unfairly caused the Bulldogs to drop 3 spots this week in Class 2.

  Not sure how accurate these are. Portageville is 13-2, not 11-3

  They are based off of Maxpreps. For example, on maxpreps, it says Sikeston defeated Imagine Prep 52-50 when in actuality they won 69-64. More glaring, Portageville beat South Pem but it is reversed on Maxpreps saying Portageville lost by the same score. Also, Doniphan's loss to PB isn't noted on there. That should tell you how accurate this poll is. I'd say Class 4 and 5 are pretty decent but Class 1-3 sucks.

• quit cryn about the polls they dont mean crap............. it matters how the teams are playn when districts come around, dont worry bout the polls ....... they are like excuses everybody has one but some stink just alittle more than others.....lol
