Lady Mules ppd. for Monday

Poplar Bluff Athletic Director Jim Brown called to say that Monday's game between the Lady Mules and Portageville has been postponed. No make up date has been announced.

The Mules also did not play Friday at Cape Central as well as every other PBHS event the past few days have also been postponed because of the ice storm.

With so many people without power or water and the area trying to recover, when should the games resume?

On a personal note, our power line fell onto my wife's car but stayed on for two days until the utility company was able to get to us and cut the wire. We didn't have phone lines, internet or cable and were stuck in our house with the cars covered in tree limbs and the down power line. I even had my trees trimmed this past summer but it didn't help with so much ice.

Now, like a lot of people, we're waiting it out with family. I've not been into the office since Monday but will put together Sunday's paper for the Super Bowl preview. In order to get the paper delivered in a safe manner, we need to put the paper to bed before the Lady Raiders game starts Saturday night, meaning they will be in Monday's edition and put online after the game here at semoball.com.
