Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Christmas Tournament Brackets

A week from today I'll be sitting courtside at the Show Me Center to watch the opening round of the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament. I'm honestly more excited about that at this point in my life than opening any presents on Christmas Day. Is that normal?

I'm sure plenty of you feel the same way about getting to watch the action at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament, which also starts up at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Rachel, it seems I remember that in the "olden days" the paper would provide the bb preview section and/or that day's sports section for patrons of the tournament. Any chance that can happen again?

We will have a tournament preview section that has all the same information as the sections that have run the past five years or more. I proofed it over the weekend and I know it's printing today.

Sadly, what I don't know is when it'll be in the paper. Haha. I sent the Person-Who-Knows an e-mail, and I'll let you know as soon as I get a response.
