Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.

In one of the biggest surprises of the basketball season, the Park Hills Central gym is equipped with some fantastic wireless internet...and I found someone with the password!

I'm covering the game for the paper so play-by-play updates will be difficult to do throughout the night, but we should be able to keep you well-informed.

The boys and girls district winners from Class 1 will get back on the court tonight. Here are the sectional matchups involving semoball teams:

Boys Basketball

7:45 p.m. -- Risco vs. Dora at Poplar Bluff High School

7:45 p.m. -- Scott County Central vs. St. Elizabeth at Central High School in Park Hills

Girls Basketball

6 p.m. -- Naylor vs. Dora at Poplar Bluff High School

6 p.m. -- Delta vs. St. Elizabeth at Central High School in Park Hills.

I'll be in Park Hills tonight and will provide updates here if and when I am able. (Everyone cross your fingers.)

Gosh Crader I don't know who will win the Risco / Dora game. I think Scott County Central will win the Scott County Central / St. Elizabeth game.

I'm in a really good mood today. Bernie just hired a volleyball coach that has experience playing college volleyball.

We play Dora and Risco in baseball, Dora has some good athletes that also play basketball(last years Class 1 Baseball Champs), but I/m going to take Risco in this one. Coach Blakenship has the Tigers peaking at the right time.

Anyone at the Risco/Dora game will notice 3 young boys around the Dora bench. In a couple of years Coach Luna is going to have 3/5 of his basketball team and 1/3 of his baseball team living with him. I think they are triplets. I talked to them at MSBCA luncheon, they are very fine young men, probably thanks to Ms. Luna. LOL

It could happen. It happens in the movies all the time. And if it happens on Saturday I just might try to get my first movie produced.
