Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.

High School Schedules Changes (Dexter-Charleston cancelled)

We've gotten a couple schedule updates that I wanted to make sure to share with everyone.

First, I just got news that the Charleston-Dexter football game scheduled for Friday night has been cancelled. According to the Daily Dunklin Democrat, the game was cancelled by Charleston because an outbreak of flu.

Second, the Scott City football team was scheduled to have an off week this week according to the schedule we received at the beginning of the season, but we learned that the Rams will be in action this week. Scott City will play Confluence Prep at 7 p.m. on Friday at home.

Third, the volleyball match between Oak Ridge and Marquand that was scheduled for Thurday night has also been cancelled. There was apparently a scheduling conflict.
