SD ROUNDUP: Braves pick up first win; Hartman returns for NMCC girls in 74-57 win over Delta

SIKESTON — Scott County Central picked up its first win of the season, against Zalma, on Friday night.

The Braves bested the Bulldogs in the second quarter, 18-4, on their way to a 73-63 win.

Brayln Porter led the way with 26 points, while Kobie Burton had 17, and Keron Banks had 15.

Nathaniel Ware had a game-high 40 points for Zalma.

DELTA, Mo. — Alivia Hartman returned for the New Madrid County Central girls’ basketball team on Friday against Delta.

The junior scored seven points, as the Lady Eagles went on to defeat the Lady Bobcats 74-57 at Delta High School.

Shakyra Wright led NMCC with 19 points, while Jimmya Caldwell-Newsom had 17, and Ayannah Ruff had 14.

Kendall Holweg led all scorers with 21.
