To open the 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, it will do so as a running, hitting, and fielding contradiction. The No. 4-seed Redhawks (27-22) will take on the winner of No. 5-seed Austin Peay (30-22) and No. 8-seed SIU Edwardsville (18-33), who will play at 12:30 p.m., and the Redhawks will do so having put together yet another strong season, despite being one of the youngest, if not THE youngest, squad in the field.
