Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.

With rain falling overnight and a questionable forecast for Monday, the schedule below is subject to change. I'll of course pass along any updates and changes as soon as I get them. As a reminder, the winner of the sectional games advance to the state quarterfinals. Quarterfinal winners head to the final four in Springfield next week.

Here's what the state baseball sectional schedule looks like for now:

Class 1 District 1 Championship: Cooter defeated Holcomb 4-0

Class 1 District 2 Championship: Oran defeated Bernie 13-9

Sectional: The game between Oran and Cooter was suspended on Monday with one out in the top of the third inning and Cooter batting. The score was 0-0. This game is very tentatively scheduled to start back up at 3:30 Tuesday at Cooter.

Class 1 District 3 Championship: Oak Ridge defeated Southern (Ellington) 6-3

Class 1 District 4 Championship: Naylor defeated Neelyville 7-0

Sectional: Naylor at Oak Ridge was postponed Monday. The game now scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Chaffee because the field at Oak Ridge is too wet to play.

Class 2 District 1 Championship: Malden defeated Twin Rivers 4-2

Class 2 District 2 Championship: Charleston defeated Bloomfield 2-1

Sectional: Charleston defeated Malden on Monday to advance to the Class 2 quarterfinals. Charleston will face either Valle Catholic or Crystal City in a game schedule for Wednesday. Details about the time and place for the game will not be available until the Valle-Crystal City game is played. That game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after being postponed Monday.

Class 2 District 3 Championship: Valle Catholic defeated Chaffee 6-3

There are no semoball teams left in this sectional.

Class 3 District 1 Championship: Kennett defeated Perryville 3-2

Class 3 District 2 Championship: Herculaneum defeated Sullivan 4-3

Sectional: Herculaneum at Kennett at 5 p.m. Tuesday

Class 4 District 1 Championship: Cape Central defeated Sikeston 8-6

Class 4 District 2 Championship: Hillsboro defeated Seckman 5-4

Sectional: Hillsboro at Cape Central at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday

Class 2 District 4 is between Crystal City and West County today. I'm guessing the former will win and lead to another big time game for sectionals.

You are probably correct, but I/ve known of some strange happenings over in West County. Seems like there's always a full moon out every time you play at West County.
