Live Blog: Sikeston upsets Jackson Legion in crazy affair

The Jackson Legion and Sikeston Legion teams are about to face off in an elimination game at the District 14 tournament.

Jordan Devenport doubled to lead off for Jackson. Zach McDowell got a base hit. McDowell was picked off first base, but Devenport scored during the rundown. Chad Scrooggins walked. Kendall Fay hit into a double play.

Bryan Freed got an infield single off Jackson starter Logan Bartels. Mikey Russell got a bunt single. Ross Bohannon hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Freed. Josh Boese walked. Ben Freed flied out to left. Nathan Rodgers walked. Evan Underwood walked, scoring Russell. Cord Sheehy cleared the bases with a three-RBI double.

Mason Sander, who pitched five innings against Poplar Bluff earlier Saturday, relieved Bartels.

Steven Beydler popped up to third to end the inning.
