Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Mitchell Davis was walked by Jackson starter Mason Sander to start the game. Cory Kovach lined a ball back to Sander, which resulted in a double play. Jake Smith walked. Sawyer Smith hit an RBI-double. Bryn Hester walked. Todd Bullington hit an RBI single. Shelton Edmundson popped up to second to end the inning.

Cody Stause is on the mound for Poplar Bluff.

Jackson's Jordan Devenport led off with a single up the middle. Zack McDowell walked. Chad Scroggins hit an RBI single. Kendall Fay hit an RBI double. After a ground out, Evan Watkins got an RBI single. Caleb Hosey struck out. Logan Bartels grounded out to second.

Dustin Spencer flied out to left. Berry got a base hit. Mitchell Dennis flied out to right. Cory Kovach hit a ground rule double over the centerfield wall. (This was unlucky for Poplar Bluff since Berry would have certainly scored on the play.) Jake Smith lined out to shortstop to end the half-inning.

Logan Bartels hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield allowing Watkins to score. Jake Conklin and Jordan Devenport struck out back-to-back to end the inning.

Mitchell Dennis and Dory Kovach got out to start the inning. Jake Smith got an infield single. Sawyer Smith homered to left field after a lengthy battle with Mason Sander. Bryn Hester singled and Todd Bullington reached on when his infield popup fell on the line beyond the first base bag. Hester scored on a wild pitch before Shelton Edmundson grounded out to shortstop to end the inning.

Evan Watkins and Caleb Hosey struck out. Logan Bartels flied out deep to right field.

Dustin Spencer led off with a single. No. 9 hitter Dallas Berry walked. Mason Sander was relieved by Cody Heisserer for Jackson. Mitchell Dennis got a base on a high bouncing ball that got over the third baseman's head. Cory Kovach grounded out to shortstop. Jake Smith fouled out. With Sawyer Smith at the plate, Berry scored on a wild pitch. Smith then singled home Dennis to tie the game 8-8. Bryn Hester was hit by a pitch. Todd Bullington struck out after a long at-bat to end the half-inning.

Rachel is there a time limit for games? I see the next game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. This clearly won't happen. It looks like the tourney could go until midnight or later!
