Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Cards put Lopez on DL, demote Craig

The St. Louis Cardinals made a couple moves on Monday.

Felipe Lopez was put on the disabled list with an elbow injury that apparently goes back more than a week and Allen Craig was sent down to Triple A.

Craig, who has been playing the outfield, has struggled mightily at the plate. He'll be replaced by the lefthanded Jon Jay. Jay has a hit in all 16 games he's played at Memphis this season.

It will be nice for the Cards to have a lefthander on the bench, no?

Lopez was replaced on the active roster by Tyler Greene, who has been up with the Cards before if memory serves. (and it sometimes doesn't).

How concerned are you about losing Lopez for a while?
