Rachel Crader is the editor of semoball.com. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in May of 2009 before spending the summer covering the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.

Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.

Scott County Central wins 14th title

We'll have a couple stories posted about midnight, so hand tight for them. (I'm getting ready to start the drive back to Cape.)

The short of it is SCC defeated Pilot Grove 96-47. Otto Porter broke two of his dad's records, which had stood since 1976. He finished the championship game with 29 points and 35 rebounds, breaking his dad's single-game rebound record of 25. He had 49 rebounds at the final four, breaking his dad's record of 47.

Bobby Hatchett finished a stellar high school, which includes two state titles and a third-place trophy, with 28 points and nine assists.

Rachel, what was the rebound margin? I know Otto got 35, what was the rebounds for both teams?

It's still there, if you go to the Yahoo page and find the little arrow box in the bottom right corner of the featured news box (the one with photos) and scroll over to the 21-24 spot out of 28.
