High School volleyball roundup, Sept. 30: Jackson drops five-set battle with Incarnate Word

Incarnate Word defeated Jackson 24-26, 27-25, 25-22, 12-25, 12-15 on Friday at Jackson High School.

Sophomore Katy St. John led the way on offense with 20 kills while senior Kamryn Link added 45 assists. Defensively, the Indians were led by junior Holland Guilliams with 18 digs.

Jackson next plays again at 6:30 p.m. on Monday in Farmington.

Notre Dame 3, Leopold 0

Notre Dame defeated Leopold 25-14, 25-21, 25-17 on Friday at Leopold High School.

On offense, the Bulldogs were led by senior Kristin Anderson with 13 kills and freshman Claudia Jones who had 17 assists. Senior Anna Garner led the way on defense with 18 digs while freshman Kate Rubel had four blocks.

Notre Dame goes on the road to Advance at 7:15 p.m. on Monday and Leopold travels to Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
