Sikeston 7th and 8th graders each open season with convincing wins

DONIPHAN, Mo. — The Sikeston seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams opened the season with convincing wins in Doniphan Monday.

Seventh grade

Sikeston 51, Doniphan 29

Sikeston (1-0) held Doniphan to just two made field goals in the first half en route to a convincing 51-29 road win Monday.

John Hughes sank four 3-pointers on his way to scoring 14 points, pacing the Bulldogs’ balanced attack.
