With each Southeast Missouri high school volleyball team wrapping up its regular season on Tuesday night, here is the final iteration of the Semoball Volleyball Top 10 heading into district play.

1. Gideon (27-1-1) – With Woodland losing to Dexter in the finals of the SCAA Tournament, the Bulldogs leapfrog the Cardinals to finish the regular season ranked at the top of the Semoball volleyball rankings. Gideon hasn’t lost a set, let alone a game since Sept. 11 — going 23-0 since losing to Rock Bridge.

2. Woodland (24-4) – The Cardinals finish in the runner-up spot after sitting atop the rankings for nearly the entire season. The loss to Dexter in the SCAA championship game doesn’t mean much but might re-focus Melissa Rinacke’s team which spells bad news for opponents in district play and beyond.

3. Jackson (28-5-3) – Coach David Mirly has his team playing its best volleyball of the season at the right time, beating Notre Dame on Tuesday in the SEMO Conference championship game.

4. Notre Dame (23-5-4) – The Bulldogs drop a spot in the final rankings with a SEMO Conference tournament loss to Jackson in pool play and the title game.

5. Meadow Heights (19-7) – Another team that's playing its best at the right time is the Panthers, who have won eight games in a row heading into districts.

6. Eagle Ridge Christian (12-1) – The Eagles lost their first game of the season in the Metro Athletic Conference championship game to Liberty Christian and dropped a spot in the final ranking.

7. Clarkton (24-8) – The Reindeer have a 14-1 record since Sept. 25, with their only loss to state power Gideon in the Tri-County Conference championship game.

8. Ellington (25-8-3) – The Whippets have had a couple of losses in the month of October and slipped two spots but both losses were to 20+ win teams (Winona, Bunker).

9. Risco (20-7-1) – The Tigers doubled their win total from a year ago and are looking relatively strong heading into the ultra-tough Class 1 District 2 tournament where, with a win over Holcomb, would pit them against powerhouse Gideon.

10. Scott City (21-9-2) – The Rams round out the top 10 and are playing very well going into districts where they will face Saxony Lutheran in the semifinal round of the Class 2 District 3 tournament.

Honorable Mentions: Holcomb (17-7-1), Oak Ridge (16-8), Dexter (15-9-1), Richland (Essex) (17-11), Portageville (16-10-3).
