Girls Tennis Roundup, Sept. 13: Notre Dame beats Jackson 6-3

Notre Dame senior Megan Gullette was victorious again in No. 1 singles competition, defeating Jackson's Delaney Pipkin 8-4 on Monday in Jackson, Mo.

Gullette picked up a second win, as she and No. 1 doubles partner Amina Hussein defeated Jackson's duo of Pipkin and Taylor Fehr 8-3.

The Bulldogs earned another 8-3 doubles victory, with No. 2 duo Suna Mungee and Vita Galati defeating Jackson's Mia Foote and Kylie Creech. The Indian duo of Lydia Weber and Eva Carrasquillo-Wilkinson picked up a point for Jackson in No. 3 singles, defeating Notre Dame's Kathryn Moon and Emily Fehr.

In addition to Gullette's singles win, Notre Dame picked up three more wins from Mungee, who defeated Fahr 9-8, Emma Marshall, who defeated Weber 8-4, and Moon, who defeated Carrasquillo-Wilkinson 8-6.

Jackson picked up two points on singles victories from Foote and Creech, who beat Hussein (9-8) and Fehr (8-5) respectively.

Notre Dame (6-1-1) will host Kennett (8-0) at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and Jackson (7-5-1) will host Charleston (0-6) at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
