Redhawk's Wilbur Named OVC Baseball Player of the Week

Southeast Missouri State junior Tyler Wilbur was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week Monday, his first time doing so in his collegiate career.

Wilbur hit .611 with nine RBIs, a pair of doubles, and two runs scored for the Redhawks last week.

He hit safely in 11 of his 18 at-bats, boasting a .722 slugging percentage, and recorded a .619 on-base percentage in four starts.

Wilbur had three or more hits in three games, including a season-best four hits against Jacksonville State on Saturday.

Wilbur enters the week ranked second in the OVC with 11 multiple-hit games and ranks fourth in the league in hits.

He also ranks in the top 10 in batting average (.386) and OBP (.444).
