Volleyball Roundup, Sept.25: Woodland wins third straight, beats Puxico in three sets.

Woodland defeated Puxico at home Friday night in straight sets, winning 25-11, 25-18, and 25-9 to cap off a busy week of play, going 3-1 in the week and 6-4-2 overall on the season.

Addie Johnson had 11 kills for the Cardinals as well as six digs. Emma Brown produced 10 kills of her own to go along with nine digs and four aces.

Chloe Goodwin pitched in on the win with seven kills and three digs.

Ally Whitener had 13 assists and five digs while Kaitlyn Zajicek amassed 13 assists and six digs.

Woodland will be right back in action on monday as they travel to Oak Ridge to play at 7 p.m.

Puxico (0-3-1) will look for their first win of the season on Tuesday at Sikeston.

Oak Ridge 3, Oran 1

Oak Ridge won their third game of the season on the road against Oran Friday night 25-19, 25-17, 18-25, 25-15.

Junior Paige Glueck led the way for the Blue Jays, recording 15 kills, 11 assists, 26 digs, and adding 12 service points.

Myles Schilling pumped in seven kills along with 12 digs.

Alison Seabaugh recorded five kills, 25 digs, and 15 service points while Mae Masterson helped with 21 digs and 26 service points.

Oak Ridge(3-5) will host Woodland Monday at 6:30 p.m. while Oran travels to Zalma monday in a battle of winless teams.
