SEMO names SIU alum Brad Korn as next hoop coach
Southeast Missouri State athletic director Brady Barke had stated earlier this month that he wanted to wrap up the search for a new men's basketball coach by the end of March.
Despite the challenging circumstances posed by the COVID-19 outbreak, Barke has done so by hiring Kansas State assistant coach Brad Korn.
"I'm excited to welcome Brad and his family to Cape Girardeau," Barke said in a release. "Brad is a winner and has an incredible knack for building relationships with student-athletes, while developing them both on and off the court.
"His energy and passion will bring a renewed sense of excitement to SEMO Basketball."
The Plano, Illinois native played and served as an assistant coach at Southern Illinois before leaving to take a position at Missouri State.
The 38-year-old Korn has spent the past five seasons at Kansas State, four as an assistant coach.
