Swimming Roundup, Jan. 28

The Poplar Bluff Mules breezed to a win in the girls swimming tri-meet winning 10 of the 12 events against the Notre Dame Bulldogs and Saxony Lutheran Crusaders.

The Mules finished with 285 points beating the second place Bulldogs by nearly one hundred as Notre Dame ended with 194 points. The Crusaders finished a distant third with 47 points.

Gabrielle Fortner led the charge for the Mules, winning the 100 and 200 freestyles while also being on two winning relay teams. Lexi Jansen helped the Bulldogs win the only two events Poplar Bluff didn’t take home, winning the 200 individual medley and being on Notre Dame’s winning medley relay team.
