DAR ROUNDUP: Royals' Hester nets double-double in win over Campbell

CAMPBELL — Abbey Hester led Twin Rivers with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Royals won 44-36 at Campbell.

Brianna South also had 10 points for the Royals, who didn’t attempt a free throw in the fourth quarter in the relatively close game.

Hester scored seven points in the first quarter and South had four as the duo combined for all of the team’s 11 points.

Twin Rivers held Campbell to 14 points in the first half and the Camels didn’t score more than 11 in any quarter.

Adrionna Pearson led Campbell with 18 points and Gabrielle Nielson had 10.

East Carter 64, Lesterville 47

East Carter had four players finish in double figures.

Brooklyn Kearbey made two of the team’s four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 15 points.

Naomi Crowley had 14 points after scoring eight of the team’s 19 points in the fourth quarter. Makenna Moore had 11 and Kennedy Thies got 10.
