Kennett's Kobe Patterson medals at Notre Dame cross country meet

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Kennett’s Kobe Patterson brought home another medal Saturday at the Notre Dame Invitational cross country meet in Cape Girardeau.

Patterson finished 13th with a time of 17:39.64. The Top 25 finishers in the 141-runner field.

Four other Kennett runners competed at the event. Kennett’s Brett Bradley (19:43.07) took 63rd, Kennett’s Jason Yates (20:10.87) placed 82nd, Kennett’s Larry Payne (20:21.57) finished 86th, and Kennett’s Carson Blansett (22:36.15) cam in 125th.

“Once again our times were pretty good but with the tough competition we just didn’t place well as a team,” Kennett coach Fred Garmon said. “It was a great chance to get to run on our district court, however.”

Notre Dame’s Blake Morris finished first with a time of 15:52.18. Notre Dame also posted the top team score.

Kennett is back in action Thursday when it competes at the Woodland Invitational.
