Every football season is a “work in progress” throughout it. That is why teams still are practicing – and improving - right up until their final game. However, from a defensive perspective, the 2018 season for the Southeast Missouri State defensive secondary truly was a work in progress as a group of inexperienced defenders gained knowledge and ability with each passing day.
