Southeast Missouri State gymnastics drop dual on the road to Illinois State

The Southeast Missouri State gymnastics team remained winless on the season, falling by nearly 10 points in a dual meet against Illinois State on Friday in Normal, Illinois.

The Redbirds defeated Southeast 194.175-184.425.

The best finish for Southeast (0-6) in any of the four events was second place, turned in by Gabrielle Adams in the vault (9.700) and Anna Kaziska in the beam (9.800).

Kaziska also finished second in the all-around at 38.450. Illinois State's Gabrielle Cooke won the all-around with a 38.600 total.

Southeast's best event was the balance beam, where the Redhawks totaled 47.225. Southeast scored 46.950 in the vault, 45.750 in the floor exercise and 44.500 in the bars.

The Redhawks will host Northern Illinois at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8.
