Southeast Missouri State volleyball sweeps Eastern Kentucky

The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team rolled off to a three-set road sweep of Eastern Kentucky in Ohio Valley Conference play Friday in Richmond, Kentucky.

The Redhawks prevailed 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 in improving to 13-7 overall and 5-2 in OVC play.

Annie Wehrheim paced the Redhawks with 18 kills, while Laney Malloy had 11.

Southeast finished with a .318 attack percentage.

Haley Bilbruck led the defense with 15 digs, and Claire Ochs and Ally Dion each had 11. Ochs also turned in 35 assits, while Maggie Adams had three blocks.

Cassie Kntuson had a team-high 11 kills for Eastern Kentucky (3-17, 2-6).

Southeast returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday against Morehead State in Morehead, Kentucky.
