Tri-County Conference baseball awards released
The Tri-County Conference baseball awards have been released.
Cooter’s Jacob Watkins has been selected Tri-County Conference Baseball Player of the Year. Watkins batted .548 with 24 RBIs, 29 runs scored and one home run.
Cooter coach David Mathis has been selected Tri-County Conference Baseball Coach of the Year. Cooter finished its fall campaign 17-1, went undefeated against Tri-County Conference opponents and repeated as champions of the Tri-County Conference Tournament under Mathis.
Watkins, Cooter’s Dawson Treat, Cooter’s Chris Crowder, Risco’s EJ Myers, Cooter’s Christian Gunnels, Risco’s Nate Burnett, Holcomb’s Nate Rue, Cooter’s Zach Pendergrass, and Holcomb’s Wilson McGee have been selected first-team all-conference.
Cooter’s Lane McLevain, Gideon’s Brendon Buchanan, Risco’s Treston Meese, Cooter’s Layton Robertson, Risco’s Dalton Hayes, Holcomb’s Jimmy Davis, Cooter’s Preston Hatch, Gideon’s Tyler Hill, and Cooter’s Austin Hays have been selected second-team all-conference.
Holcomb’s Austin Wallace, Gideon’s Zach Swift, Southland’s Mickey Bennett, Cooter’s Bronson Wicker, and Cooter’s Luke Perkins have been selected honorable mention all-conference.
