2018 SCAA softball awards released

Bernie sophomore Alyson Marcum (pictured) is the 2018 SCAA Softball Player of the Year. Marcum hit .750 with 13 home runs and 55 RBIs. She also finished 15-1 in the circle with a 1.21 ERA.

The 2018 SCAA softball awards have been released.

Bernie coach Brad Botsch (pictured) is the 2018 SCAA Softball Coach of the Year. Bernie finished 23-3, went undefeated against SCAA teams and won the SCAA Tournament for a fourth straight season under Botsch.

Marcum, Bernie’s Cymber Arnold, Woodland’s Abbey Williams, Advance’s Danielle Markham, Puxico’s Bailey Burns, Bernie’s Makayla Turner, Dexter’s McKenzie Yount, Bernie’s Cassidy Freed, Dexter’s Chaylea Mosbey and Woodland’s Mackenzie Altenthal were selected to the 2018 SCAA all-conference team.

Woodland’s Kelsie Long, Bernie’s Taylor Anthony, Bloomfield’s Tyrah Hartle, Dexter’s Demi Cecil, Advance’s Addie Curtis, Puxico’s Kate Haynes and Puxico’s Vickie Burch were selected honorable mention.
