Four Sikeston soccer players named to All-District team

Sikeston seniors Annie Ensor and Mackenzie Yant earned soccer Class 3, District 1 All-District first team honors on Tuesday leading Sikeston’s four all-district selections.

Ensor had one goal and two assists on the season, while Yant finished with six goals and a team-leading 13 assists. Yant also led the team in points — with 25.

Overall, the first-team was made up of 10 players from the Bulldogs, North County, Farmington, and Cape Central. Farmington and Cape Central each had three players apiece make it.

Two Bulldogs’ made the honorable mention as well.

Junior defender Emma Jones and senior defender Lyndsey McClendon were both named.

Jones finished the season with six goals and four assists. McClendon finished with one assist.
