Jackson football coach Brent Eckley earns service award

The Missouri Football Coaches Association has announced Jackson football coach Brent Eckley as the recipient of the 2017 Paul Martel Outstanding Service Award.

According to the MFCA's website, the award is given "in recognition of selfless service to the Missouri Football Coaches Association." The honor is named after Paul Martel, who coached and served on the MFCA Board of Directors for 30 years.

Eckley just completed his sixth season as Indians head coach, as the team went 8-3 and fell to St. John Vianney in the Class 5 District 1 championship game.
