Dating back to the fall season, Ellington had one 33 consecutive games. On Wednesday, the Whippets ended their game against Kennett with an unfamiliar result: a loss. Class 4 Kennett took it to its Class 2 opponent, dominating start to finish in an 8-0 win at Roger Pattillo Field. Payton Heinley was locked in on the mound for all seven innings. He pitched a complete game shutout for the Indians, allowing two hits and a walk. He handed out nine strikeouts and finished the game in 84 pitches.
