High School Volleyball Forum: Notre Dame Volleyball Headed to Kansas City

Posted by drawmules on Sat, Oct 31, 2009, at 8:21 PM:

The Notre Dame volleyball team has pulled off the impossible. Notre Dame defeated DeSoto (34-1) 25-21; 25-21. Notre Dame then defeated Rosati Kain (30-6-2) 25-19; 17-25; 25-23 in the state quarterfinals.

Notre Dame will join Valle Duchesne (30-7-2), Logan Rogersville (27-10) and Ohara (26-6-1) in the state tournament next week.

Any thoughts on Notre Dame?

  • I'm so proud of the ND volleyball team. They played their hearts out and never gave up even when they were behind 20-15 in the third game.....what a day!!!

  • I just read the article about game 3 of the Rosati Kain game. Making such a comeback in Class 3 is unprecedented. The higher the talent level the more difficult it is to score points on serve. The comeback should go down as one of the greatest moments in the history of Notre Dame Volleyball. It won't get any easier for Notre Dame at the state tournament. Valle Duchesne and O'Hara are absolutely loaded with talent. Regardless of what happens at the state tournament, this is likely one of the greatest volleyball teams Notre Dame has witnessed.
