    Hmm Carr Trophy winner gets 3rd team All-State by the coaches. The runner-ups get a 1st team and two 2nd team for their classes.

    Might have been more competition for RB across the state in class 2 than RB and QB in class 4 and 5. Therefore you would be higher in your position throughout the state. But that doesn't mean you are the best player in your area. To win Carr you only have to be the best player in SEMO not the state. And the award is for any position. So whoever is on what team be it first, second, or third for a state award that factors in position is irrelevant. But still a great accomplishment for a 4 young men.

  • Talking to coach Penden a couple weeks after the season he said DJ had 30 catches for 718 yds. But what alot of people don't relize is he did that in 7and 1 quarter games the other 2 and 3 quarters he played quarterback for Payton who was injured which hurt his stats a little.But bottom line is the Bearcats only won a couple games. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done if he could have played 10 game as reciever.

  • Very hard to get all state when you don't get out of districts, much less when you only win 2 games. Nothing against any players at all.
