Wondering why Kennett and Malden swaped spots this year?

We played Malden the 2nd game last year. It's the same schedule as last year except the switch of locations of each games.

You're pretty much locked into a two-year cycle unless you have a longer term conference contract.

I agree cvillecomo.. I look for Jackson to be one of the best teams in the area if not the best and to see them play Battle will be interesting and an exciting game that will help come district time!

Columbia. It is a new public school up there. Draws from some of Rock Bridge and Hickman. It may get some kids from a couple other places as well. Gonna be another large class school like those two in a couple of years. Probably going to hear the name a lot once they get everything going.

Battle athletic director came from cape central and used to work at kelly high also. Football won't count this yr but every other sport will

Its a first yr school not a first yr football team most of the kids r all hickman and rock bridge sophmores majority of them played varsity on 2 of tge toughest class 6 teams and they're playing in class 4 this yr so it will b ok

Rock Bridge is a really nice high school up in Columbia. I don't know how many parents would voluntarily pull their kids out to transfer to Battle. I don't know as much about Hickman. The way I understand it is that both had just gotten so big that they had to add another public high school up there.

A school can also downgrade and not play a varsity schedule or participate in the state series as well. Lincoln, several years ago, started a program and played varsity. Low numbers led to Lincoln playing a JV schedule last year and this year coming up.

They are just open dates that can be filled or teams they played last year have dropped football. Normally teams play one another for two years.. Home and Away

I'm looking forward to seeing the jamboree at Sainte Gen to see how Park Hills and Sainte Gen are. Either one of those teams are quarterfinal material. Didn't get to make it to the thing at Farmington to see Park Hills, but I went to a couple of the Sainte Gen practices and they look very sound on offense.

I am aware that Caruthersville and Hayti (Scotty Thomas) went to state back in the 80s, I am aware that Dennis Beane (sp) from Sikeston and Boris Whiteside from Kennett where probably some of the first super backs to come out of the area before Mario Whitney from Jackson (who bombed against Hazelwood East in the playoffs) and the guy from NMCC that went pro., I can remember seeing a Charleston vs Rivercrest, AR team that had several players who went pro/D-1 and it was one of the best high school games that I ever saw!, I am aware that in one season two Mississippi County teams defeated John Burroughs, I am aware that the Sikeston vs Charleston 100th game was tainted because of a bad call on an incomplete pass!, I am aware that a back from Windsor and St. Gen. compiled stats as if they were on a video game in the early 90s or early 2000s, I am aware of a team from Hazelwood Central in the late 90s that I saw personally that was similiar to a small college team, I am aware that Jeff. City and East STL. High played one of the greatest games when legendary Coach Pete Adkins was leading the Jays/Rockhurst and the Jays have had some battles also, I am aware of a few games between Blue Springs High (before the district was split to make Blue Springs South) and Rockhurst that had everyone in the crowd on their feet for nearly the entire game, I am aware of when Tony Van Zandt ruined his knee in the all star game in Jeff. City...
