I only picked 5 games that I am looking at to know what this season could bring!

Sikeston vs Gateway Tech

Cape Central vs NMCC

Dexter vs Ste Gen

Farmington vs Festus

Poplar Bluff vs Vashon

Of these five games we can get an idea of what the SEMO area has for talent.

Well Coach Hoops, it is the first week so I expect a lot of defenses to be overmatched. I think Sikeston beats Gateway in a shootout 41-28. Cape dismantles New Madrid 47-7. Dexter also plays to a high scoring win 35-33. Farmington beats Festus 28-13. And Vashon takes down PB 21-7. On a related note, you expect Sikeston to go for a field goal mandm? When have you ever seen Sikeston go for let alone make a field goal? I know Hunter is a great kicker but we never see that.

  • I honestly don't think NMCC will bring much to us except confidence. Seeing what they did at their jamboree it looked like they passed a lot but didn't have a very good qb or receiving core. The game im most interested in is Farmington and festus, I have no idea what festus has coming back.

  • Sikeston Gateway, too close to call. Both teams have great athletes. Going with Gateway..

Dexter has a lot back. Good team. Ste. Genevieve has 30 letter winners back and 20 different starters back. Will be a great game and I think SG will score on the night. They looked really good at the jamboree scoring 5 times out of 18 plays with their starters.Defense did allow one touchdown and had 3 starters on defense out. Nod goes to the hometown team.

New Madrid will not be in this game or many others.

Farmington will beat Festus by 2 TD's.

    PB gets a win.........

  • Actually sideline...that's 3 touchdowns with one missed extra point and two safeties!

Haha! It could be 4 touchdowns with all the extra points missed.

12 safeties. The offense just works the ball to the one and gives it over to Gateway so that dancing QB gets swallowed up in the backfield every time.

  • Cape vs NM - Yeah it could be a little tough for the kids in this game and no one expects them to compete, but the may fool you. They have just enough talent and (don't forget their coaching) to fool some people this year.

Dexter vs St. Gen - Game is always a shoot out. I do believe Dexter will win a close one.

Farmington vs Festus - Don't really matter to me either way.

Bluff vs Vashon - Talked with a Bluff fan for quite some time other day and says they are going to be down this year.

Sikeston vs Gateway Tech - We can only hope in this one.
