As a writer of the local area, freshman basketball is one of my coverages. Who is looking the best this year and why?

Anything on bluff or cape? They had really good team in 8th grade last year

But nd freshman are 4-1 only loss was sikeston and they beat Jackson by 20 + . So I would say nd and sikeston are the top 2 freshman teams.

Also in the sikeston nd game sikeston brought down their 2 jv players and nd left theirs up

Freshmen basketball is down this year compared to a couple years ago. It will really show in a couple years when they are on Varsity.

Same with JV teams Thunder, but everyone is about the same so at least teams will be competitive.

@SHS Bum 21
I haven't gotten a chance to view the bluff team , but I heard their incoming squad this year has a lot of talent, might be a team to watch out for. My top 3 for this early would be
1) ND
2) Sikeston
3)Central

max...Sikeston beat ND. Why would you rank ND above them? Or is your list in no particular order?

Rocket...... In no particular order
Sikeston won by 9 and it was first game of year so I see ND having a shot next time around

Aren't those two "jv players" freshman? So it isn't like they brought down a couple sophomores. As for the Sik/Nd game, both teams will get better throughout the season.

A Freshman basketball post?
-- Posted by semo7178 on Tue, Dec 24, 2013, at 10:47 AM
Yeh they were freshman but if nd brought down their 2 freshman from jv for that game it would of been a really good game

Why do I get a vibe this forum was created to garnish Little Johnny's team some credit? Sorry if I'm wrong.

I'm curious who's good this year. What can we expect varsity year(s)?

Since we are discussing freshmen don't know about teams, but a freshman player worth the price of admission is over in Ellington! The game i saw him play against rector Ark. he scored 36 in the post and shooting three's!
