  • Yeah no doubt, I just hope we live up to the hype.

  • Yes, very impressive early showing here by local teams! I really believe there are 3 or 4 teams that have the potential to make some noise in the state tournament and make it to the Final 4. Just means that the regular season in the area will be that much more entertaining seeing all these talented teams going head to head each week

  • Still no Oak Ridge, even after that thrashing of Bell City!!! The voters should stay away from jackson tire.

  • Boy, Pimpin. You sure have a hard time detecting sarcasm. I guess Money Mike should've eased up on the Nutcracker. HAHAHAHA

  • Who said I was being sarcastic?

  • Pimpin, my apologies. El Capitan needs to be demoted immediately, if not sooner to Boatswain's mate. Slap yourself..........hard.

  • Never been a fan of these polls. There may have been a change in the last few years, but predominantly there is almost no representation from the SEMO area in the voting.

I knew a coach that voted and he voted on SEMO teams based off what he read on semoball. To put any stock in these polls is unintelligent.

  • No doubt asdf1234. Pretty much fantasy stuff, fun to look at though.

  • The polls might give us an idea who to keep a look out for. But its hard to be 100% accurate with so many teams and so few voters. Tradition seems to have a role as well as returning players, especially starters. But for the most part it seems to be a calculated/opinionated list to make people talk. The final poll is the only one that matters.

  • Michael Porter Sr. graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1989, where he was a four-year member of the basketball team. He and his wife, Lisa (played basketball at University of Iowa), have eight children, Bri, Cierra, Michael, Jr., Jontay, Coban, Jevon, Izaak, and Jayda. Bri (6'3") and Cierra (6'4") are teammates on the Mizzou Women's Basketball team, while Michael, Jr.(6'10'), and Jontay (6'11") are teammates on the Mizzou Men’s Basketball team.

  • Someone please say it before K Dub gets his feelings hurt! Congratulations K Dub! I’m sure your 7th ranked Saxony Lutheran team is a fine team. Are you happy now?
