Oran lands five on All-Class 1 District 2 softball team
The Oran Lady Eagles had five players named all-district after the team claimed the MSHSAA Class 1 District 2 title.
Sophomore Molly Spane was selected as a pitcher. She earned complete-game wins in the semifinal and championship with 21 total strikeouts.
Senior Rylee Boshell earned the honor at catcher. The Williams Baptist University signee had an outstanding season batting around .700.
Senior Hope Woodfin and sophomore Lily Knotts were infielder selections. Both were vital contributors to the teamís success.
Sophomore Bralynn Morgan was the teamís final selection. She showed good athleticism in centerfield and batted .600 with a triple, four RBIs, four runs scored and three stolen bases in the district tournament.
Runner-up Risco/Gideon had six players chosen in junior Carlie Stephens (pitcher), junior Ashlynn Presley (catcher), sophomore Aubrey White (infielder), sophomore Emma Elmore (outfielder), freshman Lydia Albritton (utility) and junior Alijah Rojas (at-large).
Delta also had six selections in senior Kendall Holweg (outfielder), freshman Olivia Wagoner (outfielder), junior Lacey Blattel (pitcher), junior Sadie Hornbuckle (pitcher), junior Teriana Crowden (infielder) and sophomore Presley Holweg (utility).
Bernie senior infielders Piper Schoemehl and Anna Eaton and Scott County Central sophomore Madalynn Carlisle (infielder) rounded out the team.
