Column: SEMO MBB players need to study (and learn from) history

Of the 13 Southeast Missouri State men’s basketball players that comprised the 2021-22 roster this past season, only one, freshman forward Dylan Branson, chose history as an academic field to focus on. That is ironic because studying history – as it pertains to college basketball – would have been beneficial to the seven Redhawk student-athletes (of which Branson isn’t included) that elected to leave the program this spring.
