The Southeast Missourian Football Player of the Week for Week 2 of the 2021 season is Jackson quarterback Cameron Marchi.

After being limited to just four series against Roosevelt, the senior quarterback was able to truly show what he could do with the new-look Indians’ offense in a 42-0 road victory against Hillsboro on Friday night. Marchi was 14-of-18 on the game with 270 yards and four touchdown passes.

Marchi found returning first-team All-State wide receiver Kannen Turley eight times against the Hawks for 158 yards and two scores. Isaiah Davis was also a big help to Marchi in the game, as the duo connected four times for 84 yards and two touchdowns.

Marchi was also solid on the ground, carrying the ball three times for 33 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Congratulations Cameron on a big win and being named the second Southeast Missourian Football Player of the Week of 2021.
