SEMO Volleyball Sweeps Easter Illinois Sunday to Extend Win Streak

The Southeast Missouri Volleyball extended their win streak to 11 with a 3-0 sweep of Eastern Illinois, Sunday.

Senior hitter Laney Malloy and sophomore hitter Zoey Beasley tallied 12 kills each to lead the Redhawk attack. Malloy chipped in nine digs to finish just short of her second double-double of the season.

Sophomore blocker Talia Gouard finished with a career-high nine kills while junior Colby Greene added seven kills.

Clair Ochs dished out 33 assists with seven digs.

Ally Dion led the defensive side with 15 digs, her third straight start at the position.

SEMO won the matches with scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 25-22 to sweep the contest.

The Redhawks fell behind in all three sets, with SEMO chipping away at the leads to come back in all three to claim victory.

SEMO (11-2, 11-2 OVC) closes out its regular-season with Eastern Illinois Monday with first serve set for 5 p.m., CT at Lantz Arena.
