Jackson junior forward Nick Wasilewski didn't allow a 13 day layoff to let "floor rust" get the better of him, as he played sensational basketball Friday, leading his Indians past Charleston, 62-45.

Wasilewski scored a game-high and personal season-high 26 points, including eight points scored in the second quarter, and with help from fellow big-man Clayton Ernst, dominated a thinner and smaller Charleston team.

Ernst also scored in double-figures, netting 19 points.

No other Indian was in double figures, but no other Indian needed to be, as Wasilewski and Ernst controlled the game from the outset, as both players together matched Charleston's offensive output (45-45).

Almareion Williams paced the Blue Jays (10-7) with 12 points.

No other Charleston player managed to score in double figures.

Jackson (12-9) will have their toughest test of the season Monday as they travel to New Madrid County Central with tip at 7:30 p.m.

Charleston will host either East Prairie or Chaffee Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the semi-finals of the Class 3, District 2 tournament.
