Wrestling Roundup, Dec. 16: Jackson Boys and Girls win overall in Tri-Match with Potosi and DeSoto

Both the Jackson boys and girls wrestling teams came out on top in a tri-match with Potosi and DeSoto. The Jackson boys team beat Potosi 72-6 and beat DeSoto 67-6. The Jackson girls team won the overall beating Potosi 30-12 and DeSoto 27-24.

Farmington edges Mules in dual

Poplar Bluff recorded six pins in a 60-22 win over Pacific on Tuesday night while a dual against Farmington came down to the final match.

The host Knights got a 10-0 major decision in the heavyweight match to secure a 37-30 win over Poplar Bluff.

Justin Mitchell earned pins in both of his matches at 160 pounds as did Gavyn Hays at 220. Riley Sater got a pin against Pacific and earned a 5-3 decision in his Farmington match.

Gavin Hicks also had a pin against the Knights while Ben Colclasure won 7-6.

Jakob Hopkins earned a pin against Pacific as did Dace Wisdom, Desmond Howell.

Lucas Robertson lost 4-2 against Farmington and a 9-1 decision in the Pacific match.

In girls matches, Breann Thresher and Skyla Miller each got pins against Farmington in a 12-12 tie. Pacific beat the Mules 24-6 with McKayla Brown and Miller losing by fall.
