ORAN, Mo. — Oran senior Katie Webb signed on the dotted line to continue her academic and basketball career at Culver-Stockton College, in Canton, Mo., on Tuesday afternoon.

Webb earned Class 2 All-State honors as she helped lead the Eagles to the final four. She averaged 15.4 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game last season while also shooting 63 percent from the floor.

Over the summer, the work didn’t stop, as Webb continued to refine her game.

“I played a lot of travel ball with TC Hoops, and I worked on my game a lot,” Webb said. “I worked on my outside shot and ball-handling, and I can’t wait to see what happens this season.”

Culver-Stockton is coming off of a 20-11 record and a 16-8 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats have three seniors on the roster and five forwards altogether, and overall, Webb said she fell in love with the school the moment she stepped on campus.

“The atmosphere is great, and there are great people up there,” Webb said. “The basketball team is really strong. It’s going to be a great place for my degree, and it was an easy choice; I loved it.”
