NMCC falls to Valle Catholic; Eagles’ third-straight loss to state-ranked team

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. — The New Madrid County Central Eagles dropped their third-straight game Friday night, falling on the road to Valle Catholic 62-18.

NMCC (3-4) fell behind 41-12 at halftime and couldn’t get any closer in the second half.

While the game was the Eagles’ third-straight defeat, it was also their third-straight game facing an undefeated, state-ranked opponent.

On Sept. 25, NMCC fell 64-38 to Hayti, the second-ranked team in Class 1 and on Oct. 2, fell 43-25 to Kennett, the sixth-ranked team in Class 3.

NMCC will be back in action Friday when they travel to take on Sikeston (2-5).
