2019-20 SEMO Conference all-conference girls basketball awards released

The 2019-20 SEMO Conference all-conference girls basketball awards have been released.

Poplar Bluff senior Kiley Bess is the SEMO Conference Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Bess, who has signed to play basketball at St. Louis University, led the conference in scoring with 166 points in regular-season conference action. She averaged a conference-high 24 points per conference game.

Jackson junior Madison Lambert is the SEMO Conference Girls Basketball Free-Throw Percentage Leader. Lambert made 78 percent of her free throws in conference games.

Poplar Bluff coach David Pattillo is the SEMO Conference Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. Poplar Bluff finished 19-10, won the SEMO Conference regular-season title with a regular-season conference record of 7-0 and advanced to the Class 5 quarterfinals under Pattillo.

Saxony Lutheran senior Olivia Spanley, Saxony Lutheran senior Emma Brune, Dexter senior Alexa Werneck, Cape Central sophomore Ella Vogel, Jackson junior Olivia Ward, Sikeston senior Taydrianna Barnett, Notre Dame sophomore Lexi Rubel, Notre Dame senior Riley Burger, Poplar Bluff’s Bess, and Jackson’s Lambert were selected all-conference.

Dexter’s Sydney Asberry, Dexter’s Dulcie Pullen, Kennett’s Caroline Patton, Cape Central’s Taylor Horton, Sikeston’s Karris Allen, Poplar Bluff’s Abby Turner, Poplar Bluff’s Katie Pattillo, and Notre Dame’s Delaney Dohogne received honorable mention.
